Facebook: Facebook user ID (an app-specific ID issued for this site), name (display name), email address, profile image
Google, X (formerly Twitter): User ID for each service, name (display name), email address, profile image

This site does not collect any information other than the above, such as friend lists, posts, photos, messages, or “likes.” It also does not post to any service on behalf of users.

When browsing the site

Items collected: Access logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, date and time), browsing information via cookies

2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

This site uses the personal information it collects for the following purposes.

Delivery of newsletters (only to those who have registered)
Provision and authentication of member services, including the comment function (information received through social login is used to create accounts, authenticate logins, and display names and profile images in the comment section)

Prevention of unauthorized use and security measures
Sending important notices to users
Analysis and improvement of site usage

It will not be used for purposes other than those listed above, such as ad delivery, sale of data, or profiling.

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

This site does not sell or lend acquired personal information to third parties. Personal information will not be provided to third parties except in the following cases.

4. Management and Retention Period of Personal Information

Social login is processed by a plugin integrated into this site’s WordPress, and the information received is stored only in this site’s database. It is not sent to any third party, including the plugin developer.

Retention periods are as follows.

Member information (including information received through social login): Until the account is deleted. If you delete it yourself, it will be erased immediately; if you request deletion through the inquiry form, it will be erased within 30 days.
Posted comments: They will remain as part of the articles even after account deletion. If an individual deletion request is made, they will be deleted within 30 days.
Newsletter registration information: Until subscription cancellation.
Access logs: Up to one year.

7. Checking, Changing, and Deleting Registered Information

Registered users can check, change, and delete their own information by the following methods.

Account deletion: While logged in, openhttps://hossy.org/account-action?action=delete_accountand your account will be deleted immediately. All member information, including information received through social login (user ID, name, email address, profile image), will be erased. Please note that posted comments (body text, display name, and email address at the time of posting) will remain even after deletion.
If you cannot log in or wish to have comments deleted: Please send a “data deletion request” and the email address used at registration (or your Facebook display name) via the inquiry form (https://hossy.org/inquiry/). After verifying your identity, we will delete the data within 30 days and notify you upon completion.
Disconnecting from Facebook: If you delete Hossy.org from Facebook’s “Settings & privacy” → “Settings” → “Apps and websites,” the provision of information to this site will stop. If you also wish to delete information already stored on this site, please delete it using the method described above.

To unsubscribe from the newsletter, please use the “unsubscribe” link provided at the end of the delivery email. Once unsubscribed, your email address will be removed from the distribution list.

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The content of this policy may be revised in response to changes in laws and regulations or changes in service content. If there are important changes, we will notify users on this site. The revised Privacy Policy will take effect when it is posted on this site.
