Welcome to Hossy.org, the personal website of me, Tetsushi “Hossy” Hoshikawa.

Today, May 1, 2025, this site officially opens. I’d be delighted if you would stay with me for the long haul as my platform for sharing as Hossy.

The title “First Step, Again” comes from the very first blog post I wrote at Trinity Inc.—called “First Step”—which accounted for most of my working life. That was almost twenty years ago.

Since then I have kept writing until the count reached 2,438 posts. That averages 122 a year, or roughly one every three days.

As announced on the News page, on May 1, 2025, I, Tetsushi Hoshikawa, am today stepping away from Trinity, the company I founded nearly twenty years ago.

And on this very day, May 1, 2025, I “graduated” from Trinity Inc., which I had started myself, and the final article I wrote there was titled “The Last Step.” That “ending” merely marked the close of my work at Trinity; from there, my life as Hossy begins anew, so I had already decided that the first blog post of this new chapter would be called “First Step, Again.”

Below is the final paragraph of “The Last Step” at Trinity.

When I founded Trinity, launched the website, and set out to write blog posts, the very first one was “First Step.” Since then, up to this post, I seem to have written 2,438 blog entries (I checked the count).

Hello everyone, nice to meet you. This is Hossy@Trinity. Ever since the website opened, the menu has had “WEBL…”

After almost twenty years I decided to take “The Last Step,” so the title felt like the perfect way to wrap things up. Trinity is about to begin a new stage, and I too am embarking on a new challenge in life. In that sense, the step in “The Last Step” is also the first step of a new beginning.

In other words, nothing has really ended; we’ve simply reached a milestone. For both Trinity and me it’s just a waypoint, and beyond any waypoint the future awaits.

Everything starts with the first step.

So, what I’ll be doing here on Hossy.org is first and foremost continuing to write blog posts. I want to share the business know-how I’ve acquired and my thoughts on events in the world.

And as a new endeavor, I have launched a podcast titled “Real Management | Unscripted CEO Talks on the Wins and Losses of Running a Company.” The first episode is out today, so please give it a listen. New episodes will drop every Friday at 6 a.m., and I hope to keep it going for a long time.

Although Hossy.org is a personal site, I plan to try all sorts of things here. For now I’m relieved the site is finally open. Still, it’s only the “first step.” Taking that step isn’t always easy, so in that sense it’s also a big one. From here, I want to keep on moving forward.
